TERMS OF USE FOR ‘MEMORIES OF PARADISE’ PROJECT

Below are the Terms of Use for submitted content used in the Memories of Paradise Project. Everyone who submits a story to appear on this website must agree to these terms.

  • Memories of Paradise is an initiative managed by Paradise Historical Society (PHS) and these terms relate to Memories of Paradise
  • Users agree to voluntarily and freely share their stories, images, photographs, and personal documents with PHS. There will be no compensation for their submitted material.
  • Users agree that they hold the copyright to their material. PHS requires users to obtain all necessary permissions of the content, including photographs, before submitting the materials to us for our website. PHS does not own the copyright of the photos.
  • Users grant permission to PHS to use their content and grant royalty-free rights to PHS to share this content, in whole or in part, in all types of media including print publication, website publication, and on social media.
  • By submitting content for posting, users agree to allow their material to be used by others for educational purposes only.
  • Users understand and agree that PHS has the right to edit (for space, clarification, and/or accuracy of historical facts) or delete the submissions at any time.
  • The user agrees to hold the PHS harmless against any claim, action, loss, damage, or alleged infringement of any copyright, trademark, or other third-party property rights, caused by or arising from the publication, exhibition, or webcast of submitted interviews, audio, or video recordings, photographs or copy of personal documents furnished to the PHS as part of the Memories of Paradise
  • No photos of children who are under the age of 18 at the time of submission are allowed.
  • Users must be at least 18 years of age to submit content.
  • Users reserve the right to have their story and/or photographs removed from the website at any time at their discretion. To do so, please contact us.
