History of Annapolis County Presentation

September 18, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

What do you know about the story of Annapolis County?

Please join us to learn about our area’s history and how best to honour it and those who were here before us.

A very special presentation about the history of Annapolis County by Warden Alex Morrison and co-presenter Linda Bent will bring a historic snapshot of our early governance.

Date and Time: Monday, September 18th at 7:00 pm

Location: Paradise Heritage Centre at 10307 Highway #1 in Paradise

In 1894 when the Paradise School was proudly opened as a stunning new school/academy, one of the finest in the province, the County Council had been meeting for a mere fourteen years.

So how did the Council come about and why? Where did they meet? What was a Township? Who were those first Councillors? What has changed and what hasn’t?

There will be some items for display, perhaps the minutes of the very first meeting!

Knowing where we come from and where we are informs what we want to be.

Light refreshments will be served.

All are welcome to join us!
