Christmas Cross Stitch Sampler

Size: Approx. 23″ x 13″ (58 cm x 33 cm)

This beautiful and intricate counted cross stitch sampler was hand sewn by Faye Height. She was born in Bridgetown, married James Height, and they settled in Paradise.

Faye excelled at counted cross stitch and over the years she won many awards for her various craftwork at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition.

Faye passed away this year. Her family donated this piece in her honour to the Paradise Historical Society for our 2022 Autumn Fundraiser.

The Paradise Historical Society is fortunate to have the historic building originally called the Paradise Academy built circa 1894 as the home for our developing heritage centre. Along with ownership of this magnificent building and the surrounding grounds comes the responsibility of maintaining this piece of history.

The building is over 125 years old is in need of a lot of attention. This lottery will help needed funding.

Please support us if you can. We would appreciate you forwarding a copy of the lottery opportunity to those you think might be interested.

Drawing will take place on December 9, 2022.
