The Halifax Explosion on December 6, 1917, changed the city forever. At least 1,782 people in the city died in an instant or soon after, at least 9,000 were injured, many severely. There had never been a humanmade explosion of this magnitude, ever.
But it was not just Halifax affected. There were soldiers from all over Nova Scotia housed on the waterfront, one from Paradise.
This month’s circle invites you to bring any stories you have from your family, from your reading, books or photos to show. Let’s remember this terrible day and the people who died, and those who helped.
Who remembers the Boston connection? And what and who else?
Come to this month’s circle for some awe-inspiring stories. And bring your own.
We hope you’ll join us!
