DESCRIPTION:BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!\nThe Paradise Historical Society will be hosting a second Rug Hooking Workshop. \nA comprehensive\, hands-on\, beginner rug hooking course will be held at the Paradise Heritage Centre at 10307 Highway #1 in Paradise. \nFrom drawing your pattern to finishing the edges\, you will learn everything needed to complete your first rug hooking project. \nFee: $55.00 – Includes your pattern\, red dot fabric\, linen\, a wool gift pack\, precut wool strips\, and an information packet to connect you with everything available to rug hookers in Nova Scotia. \nWe will have frames\, hooks\, and scissors for you to use while you are here\, as well as a vendor display should you wish to buy or order these items. \nFree coffee\, tea\, and muffins will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Paradise Historical Society would like to invite residents of Paradise to a FREE barbecue and corn boil. \nWe’ve had such an enjoyable time the last couple of years\, we hope you are able to join us again or for the first time. \nPlease come to enjoy BBQ\, corn on the cob\, and chat with neighbours – old and new! \nThe event will take place on Saturday\, August 26\, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm (with food served between 4:00 – 6:00 pm) on the grounds of the Paradise School Heritage Centre. \nIf the weather isn’t suitable on the 26th\, the event will be moved to the 27th. \n**UPDATE: The event will be held on August 26th rain or shine. If it is raining\, we’ll enjoy our burgers and corn inside the Heritage Centre.** \nThere will be picnic tables and you are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs or picnic blankets for seating.
